This way of preservation is nutritious and easily digested in our bodies. It is healthy to eat such kind of food when the human body is delicate and goes through various diseases.

Preparing them at home makes us enjoy compotes without preservatives, with selected fruits, and healthy.
We will have them ready in the winter season. You can eat them as you want or use them as an ingredient to cook various recipes.

  • 2 kg of blue plums
  • 400 g of sugar
  • 1 liter of water

Directions

  1. The first step is to prepare the syrup. For this, in a deep pot, add water and sugar. Mix it well and put the pot on the fire until the sugar melts. Set the syrup aside to cool completely.
  2. We continue with the washing of the fruits. We chose fresh, well-ripened fruit, harvested on the same day and solid. Fruits should be unripe, without spots or worms.
  3. After washing them, we will clean the plums from the stalks and divide them in half.
  4. We will wash and clean the jars with hot water.
  5. There are two ways to sterilize the jars. First, we can transfer them to a deep pot, cover them with water, and boil for 20 minutes. Second, transfer them to a preheated oven at 120 degrees and left them there for 10-12 minutes.
  6. After that, we place the cut plums in jars carefully to place as much fruit as possible.
  7. When we filled all the jars, we will throw the syrup and close the jars well. After this, the next step is the hermetic closing of the jars. We have to put it in the water bath.

Conserving

  • The first way-We will place the jars upside down and covered them with cold water in a deep pot. The jars should cover 5-6 cm with water. Bring the pot to a boil and let it simmer for another 3 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat, invert the jars on a clean napkin and let them cool covered with a lid.
  • Another way is to boil the tightly closed jars in a pot covered with water for at least 15 minutes and leave them there until they cool completely.
We store them in cool and moisture-free places. They will be ready to consume for the winter season.
