Ingredients

  • 2 kg of yellow fluffy peaches
  • 400 g of sugar
  • 1 liter of water

Directions

  1. For the preparation of compotes, we will prepare the fruits once by washing and cleaning them well. Clean the peaches from the skins and the kernels. Remove the darker inner part.
  2. We continue the work by washing and cleaning the jars with hot water. Sterilize them by dipping them in a pot of water and boil them for at least 20 minutes. After that, drain them on a clean napkin. You can also sterilize them by putting them in a preheated oven at 120 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
  3. The next step in the process is to prepare the syrup with water and sugar.
  4. In a saucepan, add the mixture of water and sugar, put it on the fire until the sugar melts, and let it cool.
  5. We place the peeled and sliced ​​peaches in jars carefully. Place them upside down to fill the jars as much as possible.

Sterilization and conservation

After this, the next step is the hermetic closing of the jars. We have to put it in the water bath.

  • First Sterilization- We will place the jars upside down and covered them with cold water in a deep pot. The jars should cover 5-6 cm with water. Bring the pot to a boil and let it simmer for another 3 minutes. Remove from the heat, invert the jars on a clean napkin and let them cool covered with a lid.
  • Second way- Another way is to boil the tightly closed jars in a pot covered with water for at least 15 minutes and leave them there until they cool completely.

Store sealed jars in a cool, dry place.

Compote will be ready to consume after a few months.
