Today, we want to share a simple Wild Boar Recipe for cooking Wild Boar With Spices in a pressure cooker. It does not happen that you always find boar or wild animals, but when it does happen to us, we want to cook them carefully to preserve their taste and enjoy them as they are tasty and healthy. Grown in the wild and nature, they are the best types of food we can find.
Today, we are bringing you a recipe for cooking in a pressure cooker, but you can also use the way of marinating wild boar for other recipes with this ingredient.
Ingredients
- 1.5 kg of wild boar
- 1 glass of white wine
- salt, pepper
- laurel leaves, oregano
- 1 onion, carrot, one cerely stalk,
- olive oil
For the marinade
- 1 glass of white wine, diced onion, carrot, celery, rosemary, sage, and laurel leaves.
Directions
- We cut the boar into pieces and wash it well with running water. Drain and put in a bowl, where we will add all the spices and wine.
- Let it rest for a few hours in the fridge, and then drain it from the wine and spices and place the pork in a pressure cooker.
- In the pressure cooker, we will also add olive oil along with the pieces of meat. We will rotate it from all sides until you get an easy match.
- We will quench it with white wine and increase the cooking temperature to evaporate the alcoholic part.
- Meanwhile, cut the onion, carrot, celery into large pieces and add them to the meat.
- Add salt and pepper and all spices. Mix them well with each other for a few minutes.
- We will add enough water to cover the meat and close the pot. Once the pressure starts to make a noise, we will reduce the flame to a minimum and let it cook for 30 minutes, or by following the programs of your pressure cooker if you have an electronic version. The cooking will also depend on the type of hardness of the meat. The meat I cooked was of a young boar, which did not take you more than 30 minutes to cook. You check, and if you still need other cooking time, add hot water and continue cooking it.
- Finally, we remove the cooked boar from the cooker, and we use both the juice and boiled vegetables to prepare a sauce to accompany the meat.
- We will cook mashed potatoes or potatoes in the pan to accompany the cooked boar. You can accompany it with a mixed salad full of colors and flavors according to preference.
