Goat kid meat is tasty and light to cook during the spring and summer seasons. We like to bring today for you a Roast Goat Leg Recipe, cooking in the pan with herbs, and finishing in the oven for a delicate taste.
Ingredients for 4-Servings
- 1-1.2 kg kid goat leg
- 1-glass of white wine
- Rosemary, sage, garlic
- pepper, salt
- 3-4 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 glass of water
- 20 g unsalted butter
Directions
- Wash the meat and dry it with a kitchen towel.
- In a pan, add 1-2 tbsp olive oil and heat in medium heat.
- Add herbs and the kid goat meat chopped in pieces, and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until changing color from all the sides.
- Add the white wine and let evaporate in high heat.
- Add a little water, cover the pan, and let the meat cook in low heat for 30-35 minutes. Check any time, and if the meat starts to dry, add a little warm water until to cook. You can test the cooking meat with a fork.
- Preheat the oven at 200°C/400°F.
- Transfer the meat in the baking dish, add a little olive oil, and bake for 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven.
- In the same pan, where we cook the meat, add 50 ml water and 20 g unsalted butter, and let cook for a while to create a sauce for the roasted goat meat.
- Transfer in a serving dish and consume warm, season with the pan sauce that we prepare.
