The Oven-Baked Green Beans recipe is a delicious dish, which cooks with fresh beans and beef. Also, we can use yellow or green beans as we like. It is better to use season green or yellow beans for this recipe. But, when it is not the season, you can also use canned ones.
In other words, this dish can cook almost all year round, but it tastes best in summer, where oven cooking recipes are also the most popular. The way of cooking this recipe is similar to the yellow beans soup. In this case, the cooking ends in the oven.
In summary, It is an easy and delicious recipe for lunch during the week in the family. For a vegetarian variant, you can choose to cook without meat.
Ingredients
- 300 g beef
- 1 kg of fresh green or yellow beans
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 2 tomato
- salt, pepper
- fresh parsley
- olive oil
Directions
- We will clean the beans from the tails and leave them as long, without chopping them, as we do, for the beans soup or dish with beans.
- Next, Finely chop the onion and carrot and sauté them in olive oil in a deep frying pan.
- Meanwhile, until the onion softens, add the pieces of meat and mix them.
- After a few minutes, chopped onions and meat saute. We will add the peeled and finely chopped tomatoes.
- After this, let it cook for 7-8 minutes until we see that the tomato has reduced its volume, and we will add the cleaned beans. Mix well for a few minutes.
- Next step, we will also add salt and cover it with a lid. Occasionally stir the mixture into the pan.
- When the beans get soft, we add water or broth without covering them and let them cook there for 10 -15 minutes.
- In this moment of cooking, you can finish cooking there if you like so. But, since today we thought of cooking it in the oven, we will all transfer it to a clay casserole. You can also use another type of pan, if possible.
- What we do, arrange the legume mixture well in the casserole and add a little more water. I prefer to cover the pan with aluminum foil so that the vegetables do not dry out and remove the paper for the last 5 minutes. Also, you can also choose a casserole with a lid.
- Finally, bake it at 200 degrees for 35 minutes. It depends on the beans and your oven anyway, so see for yourself.
- In the end, add fresh parsley, black pepper, and a pinch of raw olive oil.
- Once it is ready, we serve our lukewarm casserole, accompanied by seasonal salad and toast.
Bon Appetit!
