This Mediterranean Couscous Salad Recipe, that we want to share with you, it is a cold salad, very easy to prepare, a great combination of colours, ingredients, and flavours. Couscous is a product of African origin, very fast to prepare, and very healthy and tasty. We can choose to combine with our favourite flavours and products.
Ingredients
- 100 g of cuscus
- 100 ml of water
- Salt
- 1 mozzarella cheese
- 5-6 cherry tomatoes
- Black olives
- 2 boiled sausages
- 2 champignon mushrooms
- Fresh basil and parsley
- Olive oil
Directions
- First, we cook the cuscus. In a deep pan, add water, salt, a little oil, and put to boil. Add cuscus, mix it, cover the pan with a lid, remove from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Passing the time, mix it with a fork.
- During this time, cut the mozzarella cheese in small pieces. Cut the cherry tomatoes in the quarter.
- Cut the champignons in slices. In a pan, add a little oil, the champignons and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Put to boil the sausages for 4-5 minutes and cut in pieces after it.
- In a deep salad bowl, add the cuscus and the other ingredients. A part of them keeps apart for decorating the salad. Add olive oil, salt, and chopped fresh herbs. Mix all of them, and decorate with a part of ingredients.
This salad can consume as a cold salad for all the family, or one serving meal, to take with you and consume in the office because it is healthy with a good combination of carbohydrates, veggies, and proteins.
