Easy Pear Cake Recipe

This Easy Pear Cake Recipe is a delicious combination of ripe pear and cocoa for a sweet dessert that we can taste after a meal or when we have a coffee or tea. It is very simple to prepare with a few ingredients that we always have in our kitchen. The pear is a fruit that we can easily find fresh and ripe in the summer, so let’s enjoy this fruit in this delicious recipe. Ingredients for a 24 cm cake stencil

  • 260 g all-purpose flour
  • 180 g of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 95 ml of corn oil
  • 120 ml of milk
  • 40 g unsweetened ( bitter) cocoa
  • 1 package of baking powder
  • 400 g ripe pear
  • Salt
  • 1 lemon

Ingredients for an 18-20 cm cake stencil

  • 175 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 g of sugar
  • 65 ml of corn oil
  • 80 ml of milk
  • 25 g bitter cocoa
  • 12 g of baking powder
  • 270 g pears
  • lemon

Directions

For this dessert, we must use ripe pear, and we put the pear inside the cake, but you also can choose to combine and put one part on the top decorating the cake surface with pear slices, before baking it.

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees.
  2. Rinse and peel the pears, and cut in small pieces. If you like to decorate the top, one part cut in slices. Transfer in a bowl and add the lemon juice to not oxidate. If you don’t like the lemon you can prepare the pear at the last step, after preparing the cake dough, adding immediately to the cake dough.
  3. In a deep bowl, add the eggs and sugar, and start mixing with an electric egg beater until the sugar melted.
  4. Add the oil little by little and continue to mix until it creates a homogeneous mixture. Add the grated lemon zest and the sifted flour.  Mix until all the flour creates a dough with the liquid mixture.
  5. Add the milk and continue mixing until it creates a soft and thin dough. Add the sifted cocoa and the baking powder.

  7. Grease a cake stencil and flourish, add the cake dough to bake at the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes. If you like to decorate the cake surface with pear slices, you can do before baking it.
