Baked Sole Recipe

This Baked Sole Recipe is a delicate fish dish, flavored and easy to enjoy for lunch or dinner.

Like our other Lemon Sole recipe cooked in the pan, this one baked in the oven turns out delicious. It cooks quickly and full of flavor in this recipe.

I cooked it with small sole fish, but you can cook this recipe with any Sole fish size.

Ingredients- 4 Servings

  • 1- 1.2 kg Sole fish
  • 2 medium potatoes (facultative)
  • 1 lemon
  • fresh parsley
  • 1 garlic clove (facultative)
  • 3-4 tbsp of bread crumbs
  • salt, pepper, olive oil

Directions

  1. First, we clean the fish. You can ask to get the fish clean at the fish market. After removing the part of the abdomen, we will remove the membrane that wraps it on both sides by pulling it from the head towards the tail.
  2. Prepare a baking pan lined with baking paper.
  3. In a small bowl, prepare a marinade with lemon peel, lemon juice, finely chopped parsley, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. We will coat the sole fish on both sides with the prepared marinade.
  5. Place the marinaded fish in the baking pan and sprinkle with the crumbled bread to form a crust during baking and the fish to remain soft and juicy inside.
  6. Cut the peeled potatoes into thin slices and place them on top of the fish.
  7. Sprinkle potato slices with salt and olive oil. Place the pan in the oven and bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes. The fish should take on a golden color.
  8. Serve the warm fish with lemon slices on top and seasonal salads.
