Chestnut is one of the fruits we enjoy during the fall boiled, roasted, or in various dishes. Today we want to bring you a Chestnut Cake Recipe, delicious boiled chestnuts, and cocoa cake, very simple to prepare and very tasty and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 600 g boiled chestnuts (about 300 g peeled chestnuts)
- 220 g all-purpose flour
- 3-eggs
- 200 g of sugar
- 100 ml of vegetal oil
- 100 ml of milk
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
- vanilla extract
- 1 package of baking power
- powder sugar
Directions
- Boil the chestnuts for 10-15 minutes until they soften, peel them and fry the obtained pulp in a blender together with the oil and milk.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celcius.
- In a glass bowl, we will beat the eggs with the sugar until it doubles in volume, we add vanilla.
- In another bowl, sift the flour and cocoa, add the baking powder and mix well. Add this mixture to the eggs with the sugar little by little.
A slightly thick dough will come out, we will add the chestnut mixture, and we will mix them until it becomes a homogeneous mass. Chestnut cream will normalize the thickness of the dough.
- Pour the mixture into a cake tin, which we grease and flourish and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Do the test with toothpicks.
- Take it out of the oven, let it cool a bit, transfer it to a serving plate, and decorate it with powdered sugar.
It is very tasty for breakfast, with a cup of coffee or tea, loved by children as it is in chocolate color and lighter.
