Ingredients
- 500 g of beef pulp
- 2 onions
- 100 ml tomato sauce or two well-ripen tomatoes.
- olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano
- 1 glass of white wine
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp full of flour
- bay leaves
Directions
- For this type of cooking, we will need beef pulp. First, we cut it into small pieces.
- Also, peel the onion, cut it finely, and put it in a non-stick pan. Add olive oil, a little salt, and 1-2 tbsp of water, and start stirring. Mix it and wait for it to soften.
- Next, add the meat and stir to get the heat on all sides. Add salt and black pepper. We will continue to cook the beef meat and onion for a few minutes.
- Then, quench it with white wine. Next, continue to mix it at medium to low heat. So, cook it until the meat changes its color, and the onion cooks well (not to crackle in the mouth).
- Add the sauce or tomatoes cleaned of skins and seeds and finely chopped.
- Next, add enough water to cover it. Also, add the bay leaves and garlic.
- Then, cover the pot, and let it cook slowly until the beef meat is soft.
It should remain in its sauce. Also, you can serve it like this or thick it with 1 tbsp of flour. In this case, dilute the flour with some cold water and add it to the pot. Let it thicken slowly over the low heat. - Finally, add dried oregano, and serve it. Moreover, you can accompany it with pilaf, toast, mashed potatoes, or polenta. You can find the polenta recipe here.
So, we served this dish with fry polenta. In this case, we cut the previously prepared and cooled polenta into slices. Then, in a pan, add olive oil. Heat it and add polenta slices to fry them. In this way, it will get more flavor.
Bon Appetit!
Notes:
When we use tomatoes in this recipe, cook them until the tomato juice evaporates. If we use tomato sauce, the cooking time will be faster.
