Ingredients
- 240 g all-purpose flour
- 200 g of plums in pieces and 2 -3 plums for decorating the cake
- 80 g unsalted butter or vegetal oil
- 2-eggs or 100 ml of milk
- 150 g of brown sugar
- 80 g of low-fat Greek yogurt or natural white yogurt
- 2 tbsp of ground almonds
- 2 tbsp of sliced almonds
- 16 g of baking powder
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- lemon zest

Directions
- First, we prepare all the ingredients before starting to make the cake.
- We cut the cleaned plums in pieces and keep apart. The other plums that we will use for the decor, we cut in thin slices. In a small pan, we melt the butter. We chop almonds with a sharp knife finely. You can bye the slice almonds ready, but we can also prepare them by ourselves. In a bowl, we add 2-3 tbsp of almonds and hot water and let them sit for some minutes. After that, we can peel them easily and cut them in slices with a sharp knife.
- Preheat the oven at 180 degrees.
- In a deep bowl, add eggs and sugar and beat together until it made a creamy foam.
- We ground the lemon zest with a hand grater and add to the egg mixture.
- We add the melted butter and continue to mix it.
- Add the Greek yogurt and mix it, completing the liquid mixture for our cake.
- In another bowl, we mix the flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and we add these all to the liquid mixture, mixing well until to make the cake dough.
- Add the ground almonds and cut plumes in pieces and mix well. If the dough may result in very dry, you can add 1-2 tbsp of milk.
- Grease and flourish a cake stencil and add the dough in it.
- We decorate the top of the cake with the sliced plums and almonds. Add 1-2 tbsp of brown sugar over the plums, pushing a little these in the cake dough, and put it to bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes.
- Let it cool, and after that, transfer in a serving plate cooling completely.
Serve it for your meal dessert combining with your favorite ice cream.
