Sea cicada is a species of slipper lobster that lives mostly in the Mediterranean Sea and the Eastern Atlantic ocean and is scientifically known as Scyllarus arctus (Cicala di mare).
Ingredients
- 500 g linguine pasta
- one lobster (sea cicada)
- 200-300 g cherry tomatoes
- olive oil
- 1/2 glass of white wine
- garlic, chilly pepper, salt, pepper, fresh parsley, basil
Directions
- Wash the lobster well and divide it into two parts. In a saucepan, we add olive oil, garlic, chilly pepper, and the separate sea cicada, and we cook it with all the shell parts. First, we cook it from the soft part for 2 minutes, and then we turn it from the hard part of the shell.
- We add white wine and let the alcoholic part evaporate at a high temperature, and after that, we cover the pan with a lid and cook it for three minutes.
- We cut the cherry tomatoes in half and add them to the saucepan. We continue cooking it, and in a few minutes, we will have a delicious sauce for our pasta.
- We season it with salt and pepper and fresh spices.
- In a pasta pot, we boil put the water. When it boils, add salt and cook pasta al dente. Drain them after boiling and add them to the sauce.
- We removed the lobster from the sauce, and mix them well. You can clean the shell from the lobster and add the meat part of it in pieces to the sauce. I left it all for sight effect. Mix the pasta and add a little more of the boiling water.
We serve it warm with a little olive oil and fresh basil.
Bon Appetit!
