Granita is a simple, semi-frozen, and delicate dessert, made by sugar, water, and different fruit or liquor taste, that we consume after lunch or dinner. I like to share my Homemade Coffee Granita Recipe, easy to prepare.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp instant coffee
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 2 tbsp rum or brandy
- 600ml of cold water
Directions
- To make coffee granita, firstly, we mix well in a bowl, the coffee, sugar, and hot water until the sugar dissolved completely.
- Continue stirring, adding the cold water and rum or brandy.
Pour the mixture into a shallow freezer container with a lid. Freeze - the granita for at least six hours, stirring every 1-2 hours, to create a grainy texture. Don’t forget to stir, because in that way your granita became coffee to ice.
- Serve coffee granita with cream after dinner if you wish.
Tips
If you would prefer a non-alcoholic version, then avoid the rum or brandy and replace it with extra instant coffee instead.
