For decor-Royal Icing
- 150 of powdered sugar
- 1- egg white
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- food colors
Directions
- In a deep bowl, we will mix all the dry ingredients. We add the cold butter into small pieces and mix it quickly all over the flour. It will create a kind of granulation.
- Add the egg and honey and continue mixing it until it makes a homogeneous dough.
- Wrap it in a bag and leave it in the fridge for one hour.
- Once the time passed, we take it out of the fridge, and with the help of a kitchen roll and some flour on both sides, we roll out the dough into a layer about one cm thick.
- With the help of cookies shapes molds (if you do not have molds, you can prepare them with baking paper), we cut the biscuits and place them in a baking pan lined with parching paper and bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15-18 minutes.
Let them cool and prepare the glass for decoration. - Using the electric beater, beat the egg whites and gradually add the sugar. We will also add the lemon juice.
- We will separate the Royal Icing into smaller bowls and add food coloring gel in each of them by the decorations that we chose to do.With the help of children, this will turn into fun for all ages. You can even put them on to decorate your Christmas tree. In this case, before you bake Ginger cookies, you need to form a space on top of each cookie to place strips to hang on the tree.
