Ingredients
- 600 g of rice
- 1-organic chicken
- 1-medium onion
- olive oil

Directions
- First, we clean and rinse the chicken well. Cut it in pieces and dry it with a kitchen paper. In a saucepan, add butter and one tbsp of olive oil, and the chicken pieces and stir-fry covered with a lid, mixing time after time, for about 10 minutes until the chicken golden.
- Add the water until to cover the chicken pieces, and put it to boil for 15-20 minutes. We will keep the saucepan close with a lid during the cooking time.
- In a deep pan, we will add olive oil, finely chopped onion, and stir fry for some minutes until it tender.
- Add the cleaned and rinsed rice and mix for some minutes until the rice gets light frying. Add one liter of hot water and cook the rice in the pan for half of the cooking time.
- Preheat the oven at 200 degrees.
- In a ceramic baking dish, add the half-cooked rice and the chicken pieces over it. Add the drained chicken broth. Keep in mind that for this recipe, we need approximately two-liter liquid because in the oven is a different cooking process. When we cook the rice in a pan, we usually use the ratio one with two, to wit, one-piece rice, and two water or broth. In this recipe, we need liquid broth a little bite more than triple rice quantity.
- Put the baking dish in the oven to cook for about 30 minutes. The rice will absorb all the liquid, and in the end, it will be soft and crunchy on the top, and the chicken will be golden brown. It is tasty and a special cooking dish for happy family time.
