Zucchini is a vegetable that cooks in every home during the summer. There are many zucchini recipes, and in this article, we like to share with you our Best Fried Zucchini Recipe.
You can cook zucchini baked at the oven, grilled, fried in a pan, etc., combining with other veggies, meats, and dairy ingredients, for realising tasty and delicious recipes and ideas. This recipe is a quick and easy recipe, and we can consume these batter-fried zucchini for breakfast, like an aperitif when we have a good time with friends, for a picnic, or like camping food. Kids also like this recipe. Personally, I don’t recommend too much-fried cooking for young kids, but anytime it is good to consume. If our kids want to eat fried food sometimes, the best thing it is to cook in our home, because we can cook in healthy ways and choose the best ingredients for our kids.
Ingredients
- 3 – zucchini or you can use 2 Zucchini and some Zucchini flower
- 1 egg
- 100 ml of milk
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- Salt, pepper
- 500 ml of Vegetal oil for frying (corn or sunflower oil)
Directions
- Rinse the zucchinis well in running water, and cut julienne, in sticks with 1-2 cm of thinness.
- Add a little salt to the zucchinis and put them in a colander to dry the remaining water.
- In a bowl, add the egg, salt, pepper and beat with a hand beater. You can avoid using pepper if you don’t like it.
- Add the milk and mix again, adding the sifted flour, mixing all the ingredients until to create a homogeneous batter, not too thin. The egg and milk must be cooled from the refrigerator.
- In a pan that you use for frying, add oil and heat in medium heat. The oil mist reaches the frying temperature, but not burning.
- Add the cut zucchinis to the batter, turning in the batter from all the sides, and transfer to the pan for frying.
- Fry all the zucchinis in medium heat, until golden brown, and transfer in a dish covering with kitchen paper, to eliminate the remaining oil.
- Serve the fried zucchini warmed or cooled, with different types of cheeses.

Note: We can prepare the batter for frying in different ways, using simple ingredients. Another way is to replace the milk with water, just cold water with salt and flour for a vegan recipe. You also can use beer to make the batter. I suggest a batter with a milk and egg for more nutritional value.
