This Banana Strawberry Cake Recipe is not only a delicious dessert but also a healthy way to use bananas or very ripe strawberries.
I prefer to cook summer desserts with fresh fruits. In this way, the dessert will be full of flavor and in a moderate sugar quantity.
This cake prepares in five minutes, we bake it, and it is ready to be served. All we do is mixing the ingredients in turn without having to mix hard or long. I also cook it with starch and flour, as I like the texture that starch creates.
You can avoid bananas if you don’t like them, and cook this recipe with strawberries only.

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 120 g of sugar
- 90 ml of oil
- 90 ml of yogurt
- 1 banana
- 200 g of flour
- 1 package of baking powder (10 g)
- 1 tsp of vanilla aroma
- 2 tbsp full of cornstarch
- 200 g of strawberries
- 1 tbsp of sugar for the top
- icing sugar for decor

How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Prepare a cake baking pan with a diameter of 20-22 cm. Cover the base of the pan with parchment paper. Grease and flourish the sides.
- In a glass bowl, we add the eggs and sugar and beat them with a hand wire or fork.
- We will add yogurt and oil and mix again for 2-3 minutes so that the oil and yogurt become one with the eggs.
- Press banana with a fork and add crushed banana to the mixture. Continue to mix.
- Add the sifted flour, the cake baking powder, and the sifted starch as well. Mix it with a spatula until it makes a homogeneous cake dough.
- Toss a piece of cake dough into the baking pan. Cut some of the strawberries into small pieces and place them on top of the dough. Cut half the other parts of the strawberries to add to the top. You can choose to add strawberries all on the surface of the cake or add all of them in small pieces mixing with the cake dough. I add a part of strawberries in pieces, and the other part of them, I left for the top.
- Add the other part of the cake dough. Level it well and place the other part of strawberries.
Baking and serving
- Sprinkle with a tablespoon of granulated sugar and place the cake to bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes. Do the test with the toothpick, which should come out dry.
- Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool for 5 minutes, remove it from the pan and transfer it to a serving plate.
- Optionally, we can sprinkle it with powdered sugar or not.
- Let it cool a bit and cut it into pieces to serve as desired. We can also serve it lukewarm accompanied with ice cream with strawberries and vanilla. Very delicious.
