Apple And Yogurt Cake Recipe is a delicious dessert to sweeten your breakfasts or afternoons on these fall days. Also, in this recipe, the apples well combine with chocolate chips and other ingredients for many flavors.
Furthermore, apples are one of the fruits of the season, which carry many nutritional values, but at the same time, are protagonists in many apple dessert recipes.
Today’s recipe is simple, baked in a plumcake shape, and prepared with ingredients that we always have at home.
Moreover, for a healthier variant, I used brown sugar, yogurt, and oil to make it. Also, I used chocolate chips for a different flavor.
Optionally, you can also use dried fruit instead of chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- 3-eggs
- 120 g of brown sugar +2 tbsp for the top
- 90 ml of natural yogurt
- 90 ml of olive oil or another vegetal oil
- 230 g of all-purpose flour
- 12 g of baking powder
- 3- red apples (one diced apple for inside and two sliced for decor)
- 1 tsp of vanilla aroma
- 1 tsp of cinnamon powder
- 3 tbsp full of dark chocolate chips
Directions
- First, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. We will prepare a 26 cm plumcake baking pan by coating it with butter and sprinkling it with flour.
- In a bowl, add eggs and sugar and beat it with a hand or electric beater for a few minutes.
- Then, continue to mix, adding the oil, yogurt, and vanilla flavor. We will mix until we get a homogeneous mass.
- Next, gradually add the sifted flour mixed with the puff pastry. Mix lightly to form a soft dough.
- Next step, peel and dice one of the rinsed apples and add it to the dough. Also, add cinnamon powder and chocolate chips and mix lightly to spread over the entire amount of dough.
- We throw the dough in the baking form made almost before.
- In the end, we will cut the other two apples into slices and place them on top of the dough, dipping them lightly in the dough. Also, sprinkle granulated sugar over the apples.
- Finally, put the cake to bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes. Do the test with the toothpick, which should come out dry.
- Once ready, remove the cake from the oven, let it cool a bit, and transfer it to a serving plate, sprinkling it with powdered sugar as desired.
- Once cooled, we cut it into slices. In the end, serve it as desired.
