Chicken breast is one of the chicken parts that can cook in many ways. There are more than a hundred chicken breast recipes that we can try every day in our kitchen. This Rolled Chicken Breast Recipe is a delicious and healthy combination of poultry and dairy proteins.
The chicken breast is non-fat poultry meat, and for that we can taste it as we prefer, adding ingredients that we mostly like for our recipes.
In this recipe, we will combine the chicken breast with chicken ham and cheese, and with steamed or boiled broccoli as a side dish.
We can cook it quickly and fast in a pan. I consider it a healthy recipe, and you can always serve it with other side dishes like baked potatoes, or other veggies, or a season salad. You can enjoy this recipe as a main dish during our family meals, or you can consume it during your lunchtime in the office.
Ingredients
- 2-chicken breast
- Salt, pepper, rosemary, olive oil
- 1/2 glass of white wine
- 4-chicken ham slices
- 4-Guda cheese slices
- 1-broccoli
- 1-lemon
Directions
- We clean the chicken breast from the bones and cut it in thin slices with a sharp kitchen knife. You can also choose to bye the chicken breast in slices and ready to cook.
- We beat the chicken slices with a meat beater, and we season them with salt and pepper.
- We place the chicken ham and cheese slices over the chicken breast slices and roll together, closing well the end of it.
- In a pan, add a little olive oil and a rosemary branch, and when it is hot enough, we add the chicken rolls in the pan. We cook them for 4-5 minutes, rolling by each side. Add salt, pepper, and white wine. Let it evaporate the alcohol, and cover the pan with a lid to continue the cooking for the other 10 minutes in low heat. The chicken breast can cook fast, but if you notice that the chicken meat needs more time to cook, you can add 1/2 glass of water.
- The cooking liquid and the melted cheese will create a sauce for the chicken roll.
- In another pot, we add water and salt and put broccoli to boil for 3-4 minutes when the water is hot. We season it with salt, olive oil, and lemon juice.
- We cut the chicken role in round slices and serve it warm with boiled broccoli.
