The Best Meatball Sauce Recipe

The Best Meatball Sauce Recipe is another Albanian tasty and delicious recipe to serve as the main plate for our lunch or dinner in the family. The meatball dough combining with veggies and herbs used in this recipe, make the perfect harmony sauce for a delicious flavour to serve the meatballs with it.

Ingredients

  • 250 g of meatball dough. You can find the recipe here.
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 1 green bell peppers
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • Salt, pepper, oregano, parsley, chilly pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Ground Grana cheese

Directions

  1. We chop the onion and carrot finely and cook them with a little oil in a pan for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Cut the green peppers in small dice and add to the fried mixture.

  6. We add herbs, salt, black pepper and chilly pepper. The result will be soft meatballs and we serve them with their sauce. Add the ground cheese and serve them warm. We can serve this dish with a fresh salad or baking oven potatoes.
